Prophetic Protocol

Prophetic Protocol

1.     When receiving a word from the Lord, you ask the Lord if you should hold it, intercede for it, or release it.

a.     If you hear from the Lord that you should release it, ask Him for the timing of when you should release the Word.

 i.     If a personal word, discern where that person is mentally, emotionally and ask if you can give the word to them.

ii.     If a public word for the house, discern the flow of service and really seek God on the timing of releasing the word to the house.

2.     For hard or difficult words, make sure you tap into the compassion and love of God before releasing the word.

3.     For personal words, do not release over a microphone or publicly, unless the Lord specifically tells you to release publicly. Usually, personal prophetic words that the Lord wants to release publicly are words that exhort the body, meant to increase their faith, or may be for multiple people.

4.     Because prophets only see and hear in part, ask another prophet to come with you to release a word. This will strengthen the hearer of the word because they will get a fuller picture of the word of the Lord for their life. This includes a word for the house. Ask the Lord who to call up when you are finished or to stand with you as you deliver the word. We want to release complete words, so prophesying in teams of two will allow strengthen the body and the words released.

5.     Be fully submitted to the Holy Spirit and to the leadership of this house. On rare occasion the Lord may have you do something that conflicts with the protocol. If that happens, come to Pastor Brooks and share what the Lord wants you to do. Again, seek the Lord on timing of what you are hearing from Him to do.
